To the high school seniors, College FRESHMAN, please do your homework! ASAP! It may be summer but school is an investment and loans stay with you until you die…even after you die! So make sure that you aren’t overzealous on the application and try and get every avenue of FREE FUNDING that you can before filing that loan application. Loans AREN’T BAD but they can change your life if you aren’t knowledgable.
Parents, dear dear parents! Stop doing everything for your child. I swear that there is nothing more disappointing than a GROWN CHILD (check the word choice) that doesn’t know how to take care of themselves. Its time to let go of the reigns and watch from the stands. You will know when your child absolutely needs you. Let them start filling our their own forms and start talking about their finances, budgeting, etc. Let them wash their own clothes and do their own dishes. That way when they come to live beside (ME), I won’t have to be around some dirty lil’ kid always asking questions about how to sustain themselves. I’m just being real. It really doesn’t reflect on you as parents that well if you ask me. I have no kids but I live with them so you can go ahead and call me an expert on the topic.
STUDENTS- DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE.
PARENTS- LET GO OF THE REIGNS SOME WHAT. IT IS TIME TO REAP THE BENEFITS OF ALL THAT GOOD PARENTING. IF YOU DIDN’T DO SO HOT, WELL THEN DON’T BLAME IT ON THE WORLD THAT YOU FAILED US AS A PARENT. (ATTN DEADBEAT DADDIES AND MOMMAS)
Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network will be hosting the I AM WEEN Tour coming to a city near you. I just got my email with the dates which will be posted following this brief message.
WEEN will be hosting the “intimate” networking event for 100-150 ladies aged 18+ of all backgrounds, races, religions, and creed. I am also an avid HGTV watcher and also love Lauren Lake. I didn’t even know she is an attorney and TV personality (other than Spice My Kitchen). WOW! Well she will be speaking to the groups about balancing careers and relationships. SEPTEMBER 4, 2009- BOOK RELEASE DATE!
It is that time of year again and I am elated to congratulate the newest members of the Bison family. I will be updating the information about Howard so check it out. Any questions….just ask! Congratulations and I hope that you love Howard in its entirety…trials and all!
I am down 4 pounds !!!!!!!!
I took a health screening and my sugar is 77 (good) and my blood pressure is 117/77 (i think those were the numbers) but if not oh well…. the point is that I am healthy and on my way to a healthier lifestyle.
I also met with personal trainer Secil Brooks of Results Gym Downtown and he assessed my body type and created a workout that is NOT time consuming and will best benefit me.
10 minute warmout

* Workout tip: Do you strength training before your cardio and it will help your cardio become more productive.
* Nutrition Tip: DRINK LOTS OF WATER… if you absolutely need to have flavor try O-water… it is 0 calories with 0 sugar… hell 0 everything. It has many flavors, electrolytes, and a light after taste to help ween you to more water.
Also, eat the fruit instead of the drinking fruit juice. Empty calories and a lot of sugar. Just eat the fruit !!!!!!!

I have the best tip to starting your new healthy lifestyle.
JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t wait to create as starting point. Put the fork down and just say I’m tired of this whenever you are ready. If you start before you are ready, you won’t commit. How do you know you are ready? You will look at yourself and say that I am tired of feeling like this. I am a beautiful person and I want to live to see myself get married, have children, see my grandchildren, etc. This isn’t about anybody else. This is strictly about you. Everybody else can kick rocks. I don’t care how I look anymore, I know I am beautiful on the inside and out but I am not healthy. This is about me living my life as the best person that I can possibly be. Looking great just comes with the territory!
